Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened (ensure it’s suitable for your dietary preferences)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips choose a high-quality brand that uses permissible ingredients
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional garnish crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • Dippers graham crackers, pretzels, apple slices, or cookies

Instructions

  • Take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before making the dip to soften to room temperature for smooth blending.
  • Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in 20-second intervals, stirring after each until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly without hardening.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sifted powdered sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Slowly add the melted white chocolate to the cream cheese mixture and beat on low speed until fully combined, ensuring the chocolate is not too hot.
  • Add the peppermint extract and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir gently to distribute the flavors evenly.
  • Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl using a hand mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  • Carefully fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese and white chocolate mixture using a spatula to keep the dip light and fluffy.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set and meld flavors. Garnish with crushed peppermint candies or candy canes before serving. Serve with dippers like graham crackers, pretzels, or fruit slices.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Don’t overheat the white chocolate to prevent seizing. Use fresh, high-quality peppermint extract. Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks for a light texture. For extra festivity, drizzle melted white chocolate or sprinkle crushed peppermint on top. If the dip is too thick after chilling, fold in more whipped cream. Let the dip sit out for 10 minutes before serving for easier scooping. Variations include adding melted dark chocolate swirl, chopped nuts, fresh berries, or making a vegan or alcohol-infused version. Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3 days and avoid freezing.
