Ingredients

  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix ensure the brand uses permissible ingredients
  • 2 cups cold milk whole or your preferred milk alternative
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream for a dairy-free option
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 bars Snickers bars cut into small pieces; use bars without gelatin or other non-permissible ingredients
  • caramel sauce store-bought or homemade, made from permissible ingredients
  • chopped roasted peanuts for extra crunch
  • optional: chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chocolate Pudding

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until the mixture thickens, about 2 minutes. Let it sit for 5 minutes to fully set.

Make the Whipped Cream

  • In a separate chilled bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat.

Layer the Parfait

  • Grab your serving glasses or jars. Start by spooning a layer of chocolate pudding at the bottom. Follow with a layer of whipped cream, then sprinkle a generous amount of chopped Snickers pieces and peanuts. Drizzle caramel sauce over the nuts.
  • Repeat the layering process until the glasses are filled, finishing with a whipped cream layer on top.
  • Top the parfait with more Snickers pieces, a drizzle of caramel, and a sprinkle of chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld together.

Equipment

  • Medium Bowl
  • Electric Mixer

Notes

Use chilled bowls and beaters when whipping cream to ensure it whips up quickly and holds its shape. For an extra decadent touch, add a sprinkle of sea salt on top to balance the sweetness. When chopping Snickers bars, use a sharp knife and cut gently to avoid crushing the bars too much. Make the parfait a few hours ahead to let the layers settle and flavors combine beautifully. For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with chilled coconut cream and use a plant-based milk for the pudding. If caramel sauce isn’t available, you can make a quick version by simmering sugar and cream substitutes on low heat until thickened.
